wat happened? does this happen often? the MR 1 ghz server crashed.... and it is not up for a while... is this normal?

well, i hav been playing rpg mod on and off through out its developement.... i played for a few months back when trpg was ad&d after, i stopped a few months, and came back... played about 3 months... and stopped a few months again... then, it is the gautlet server... i was there for as long as it lived.... after its demise (damn star) i quitted for 6 months... now i came back to see wat has changed... so i may not be a veteran or expert, but i do know vaguely wat's going on...
