Server Problems, Please Please Help!

I'm having some problems when I run my server. I run it as a dedicated, and when it runs, I see it through gamespy and tribes. I join normally, but when I go near a place such as the mines or any place where bots spawn, it gets laggy as hell. I even had my bro host it on his 1 ghz comp, and it still happened. It happens even when other people get close to anyplace that spawns bots. Please help me. I have a good connection, and I wish to provide a great server.

run a no dedicated server just goto advanced option when u start setup and make the (make this server dedicated vlank)blah blah blah, just check this SSHOT, this will help u.

No, sorry. I want a dedicated serverm but the problem is when I play on my own dedicated server that is running on my computer, and bots spawn, it gets really laggy.

There is something called client/server lag. When you run a server, you are dedicating almost 85% of your computers resources to the server, therefore, any other programs running, will strain your computer, causing lag.

This is what your experiencing when your running two versions of tribes, the dedicated server window, and the client you would play on.

When you want to play, shutodwn the server, boot up tribes. after you select what character you wanna be, click the option on the next screen that says "Host Server". this will allow you to play on your own server, with only runing one client, causing less to no lag.

When you arent playing, it's a good idea to run the server dedicated, hence the fact it will run smoother.
