i have been wanting to play trpg since i saw the article in pcgamer days ago ( i checked it out from the libray) and i knew i had to have it so i came here and the guides rode me in a circle! it kept on putting me to dead links so i finnally found the version 4.571 base version. i starts downloading it but i dont know if it is like a patch for the trpg or the full version of the game so could you please help

Base version is all the files for the mod. You then need to download the updates in order and zip them to your rpg folder. then you just get on a server and start playing. I recommend binker & Newbies because they seem very newbie friendly. alot of other servers are mean to the newbies.

Hey thanks guys in reality the link to base version 4.571 took me to the new one! i checked it out and i got it. so now i have to download the updates under the link to te base version or are they all packed into the base version?

You have to download the updates.

okay guys! last question i downloaded 4.991 (after i got 4.871) but i have no clue how to install it right. what i did was extract the files to c:\dynamix\tribes\rpg but when i try to join any other place it says that i am missing a file rpg5butch.dtf. or something close to that so waht the h*ll is going on?
