LAN server

i am still trying to start this server. it is not online, just for my 2 comps, and it is non-dedicated. i have all current updates. how do i get it running.

Type this in the run menu(go to toolbar, select start, select run)

C:\Dynamix\Tribes\Tribes.exe -mod rpg

Then click ok. Tribes starts up like normal but with the rpg mod running now. Go to host a server, select rpgmap5, and click host. If this doesn't work then i give you a free kick at my balls. Not really, but you get my point.

If trbies is installed in a different directory, change the run part accordingly.

First you edit your prefs to LAN only. to do this open your .cs file and edit it manually and turn the variable LANonly to 'true' then host the game make the other computer lan only and have them join. It should use the IPX protocol.

My way works just fine. That is to technical for most people, so I explain the ways to people like they are morons, which most are. The simple way is usually best, and if someone goes on with messing with thier files, they can really screw up.
