How....How....HOW?!?!?!?!?!

Ok...

I host my non-dedicated server.
I spawn some stuff with #spawndis commands
I type in exec(editor); in tilde

And my computer crashes the instant that the editor pops up.

My question is... how the heck do you edit a map (say rpgmap5) in a map editor?

If possible, and doing it in RPGmod. I've seen it done.

Have you tried opening the editor and then spawning the stuff?
Or tried spawning them through the editor?
Just a thought, something you should try...

make sure your map files are in the base\missions folder only. move them from the rpg\missions folder when editing.

while hosting, you should be able to exec(editor);
then hit F5 and then #spawndis your objects
then pop open console and type memode();

then look in your MissionCleanup and locate the objects you #spawndis'd
cut and paste them into the MissionGroup folder. save...

in theory this should work, never tested

Well, at least I tried.

But now that I think of it, it does make sense... that would be why the robes and armors dont load on a pskin server, correct?

[Just an FYI- I'm a t1 mapper, I know what I'm doing... PT got had me hosted before I knew I was on their list of mapping sites. Anywayz...]

Thanx for the help...

But I've found that using good ol MS word and screenshots is just as effective as any map editor

Thats how I orginally started mapping... I backed up raindance and played with the XYZ coordinates... my map was hella cool... unless someone nuked all the rocket turrets... then it sucked to try and fix all of them, lol.
