Silver watched in horror as one of the men began stabbing the others. He took the gem and ran away, leaving a pile of wounded men behind. This enraged silver, and he picked up his knife and tried to stand, but fell down and winced in pain and passed out again.

Saere impatiently wiped the tears from her cheeks. This is NO time to be crying, girl! You have wounded to tend!
She rushed over to Silver, who had tried to stand but his ribs made that difficult. She stood at the window and hollered for some help. A burly bartender bustled in and asked what the screaming was about. She pointed at Silver's wounds and explained what had happened, being careful not to notice the pool of blood. The bartender yelled for his wife, who he said was good with herbs.

Silver woke to find the local bartender and his wife fixing him up. How Kind of them, he thought. He glanced around the room. Something was missing. As his thoughts were coming back together, he realized what was gone. It was Saere.

The man ran. He ran like one who ran from something fearful. He knew not why he was running, nor did he care. After he had left the presence of the other humans, he slowed to a walk. The amber gem pulled the rapidly aging man torward the south. Perhaps it was time to visit Keldrin.

the of keldrin thing means he was orginnally from keldrin. Silver has houses in many towns now.
