Question!
What would happen if somebody, somehow got alot of money adn started buying stuff like crazy and so did alot of others? Now wouldn't that kinda (well I am not sure but) wouldn't it kinda lagg or actually mess up the map having all kinds of stuuf everywhere?
But hey don't get me wrong I love this idea. I just think it will need definate limitations

the only thing that could lag the server really badly is if someone bought a bunch of keeps, and they cost 10million, so...no.

Maximum 1 property and 8 articles of furniture per person.
Not a problem.

Well, since the majority is all for this stuff...
I WILL BE POSTING THE PRICE LIST BELOW
Enjoy! Listed in catagories from least to most expensive. (And mac/runt, I know many of these aren't what we agreed on, because I gave it a little more thought on the mansions)
They will be listed as first the DIS FILE NAME, the NON-DEBATABLE PRICE, and finally, my comments on the article.
==============
Standard Housing:
==============
Tent - $10k (Pretty darn basic housing)
Bunker - $75k (Beefed up tent)
Arena1 - $225k (Cozy.)
Merchant - $300k (Excellent if you like buying and selling stuff)
Npchut - $400k (My personal favorite. But that's just me.)
House1 - $400k (Can you say, mine house?)
Bankn - $600k (It's got a nice tower and storage room. Not bad, really.)
Lhouse - $750k (Red Orc Inn, basically.)
Barrack - $1m (A barrack.) REQUIRES AT LEAST TWO PLAYERS TO CONFIRM BUILDING
Barrack sleep zone addon - $50k
Tavern - $1.5m (A tavern.) REQUIRES AT LEAST THREE PLAYERS TO CONFIRM BUILDING
Tavern sleep zone addon - $75k
========
Mansions:
========
Fort - $15m (Jaten) REQUIRES AT LEAST THREE
Yolanda - $15m (The old old old yolanda) REQUIRES AT LEAST TWO
Keep - $25m (Ethren- no wall) REQUIRES AT LEAST FOUR
Keep sleep zone addon - $100k
Dcty.0 - $50m (The big delkin on stilts, not much living space tho.) REQUIRES AT LEAST TWO
Ncity.0 - $1b (This is keldrin. If you can afford one of these, you have too much time on your hands.) REQUIRES AT LEAST EIGHT
=========
Town stuff:
=========
Making it a zone - $10m
Complete bank - $5m (This includes a Bank1.dis and three real cabinets linking to keldrin, jaten, and ethren.
===========
Furniture:
===========
Barstool - $0.5k
Woodchair - $1.5k
Woodfire - $2k (1.5k if you bought a tent)
Desk - $2k
Bar - $2k
Table - $3k
Sign - $3k
Roundtable - $5k
Bed - $5k (Sleep zone $10k)
Stove - $5k
Fountain - $8k
======
Doors:
======
Doora - $2k
Doorb - $4k
Doorc - $6k
==========
Extra Misc:
==========
Real working cabinet - $150k
Real working merchant - $250k (Items sold will be debated)
Normal Tribes Tree - $10k (Max 4 trees per property)
Small Elven-class Tree - $50k (Counts as a tree)
Medium Elven-class Tree $250k (Counts as two trees)
Huge tree - $1m (Counts as all four trees)
==============
LIMITS PER PLAYER:
==============
One property (House or mansion)
Eight articles of furniture
One cabinet
=========================
IMPORTANT FOR EXPENSIVE STUFF:
=========================
The larger mansion, ncity.0 (keldrin) would be considered a new town. The purchase of a town would require rather extensive talks with the server admin.
This process will start tomorrow (wednsday.)
Phew. That was a mouthful.
**Added in prices on trees and merchants

Well, I would try to place this stuff as close to where the player wants as possible.
It all boils down to a negotiation...
I'm trying to keep the houses at least sort of distant from other zones or high-traffic areas, and they're in a spot where it's easy for me to put them, and so that they at least somewhat look realistic. (I'm not putting anyone's house in mid air, underwater, or hanging off a cliff like the mage tower did. )
So pretty much I'll let the players pick where they want their property to go, and i'll "tweak" it to sort of keep them all separated... But it should be fairly close to the original spot.

*ahem*
Admins may not purchase property.
(Folks... thats what the admin hideout is for... )
Besides... umm... my question is why would an admin need it?

internet, that's so people will have to gather together to form a large town with the smaller buildings. We don't want one guy running a town...

also, I have an idea of how merchant selling would work. the basic merchant sells the first weapon from each fighting branch, some basic armors, and some misc. stuff like energy vials and health potions. when you buy the merchant, you have to choose 2 branches of specialty. The branches are:
magic-sells magic flames, other magic items like the wands, potions, and energy vials
armor-sells armors
bludgeoning-sells bludg weapons
archery-sells bows and arrows
slashing-sells slashing weapons
piercing-sells piercing weapons
when the merchant is spawned, it shows the 2 branches, example: if you chose piercing and armor as the 2 specialties, the merchant would be named "pierc_arm_merchant"
all you do is choose the branch, and continue with the basic items UNLESS you want to upgrade the merchant right then. When you upgrade one of the specialties (you choose) goes up once, and the upgrade price doubles each time you do it. So if you were to uprade from basic to the next lvl on something, you would pay 500. The next time it would be 1000, again it would be 2000k, after that 4k. Once you upgrade both of the trade specialties, the merchant is renamed. So if you had chosen bludgeoning and magic, and upgraded fully, your merchant would be seen as "bludg_mage_trademaster".
seems fair, right?

crusader, mage tower has been proven to be the laggiest dis in the game. I know, I know, I want it too, but even 30mil is too small of a price.
