#bashing is fun, sometimes people get so into they might forge t when they have already hit #bash and changed weapons. if you do #bash with a non bludgeon weapon your bash flag is forever in recovering from bash mode. the only way to ever bash again is thru a reconnect.
may i ask for a fix? maybe fisbashflagging everyone at saveworld, or aborting bash sequence in non bludge weapons.

its an admin 4 command "#fixbashflag someonesname" i think.
anyway....the damn bash flag gets stuck sometimes if you accidentally try to bash with a non bashable weapon.

No plz, it is one of the most enjoyable nonadmin commands. Noyhing beats the sight of enemy flying 1 km through the map into his death!

Well, the higher your bludgeoning skill, the higher chances you'd automatically bash
The higher your slashing skill, the higher chances you'd automatically make the target blow up (need to think of a name for this, perhaps critical hit)
The higher your piercing skill, the higher chances you'd automatically backstab. Backstabbing would have higher damage than bash&slash, since it can only be done from the back.
Archery needs no bonus.

You can use the weaponhandle skill for the Slashing critical hit skill or make a new one hehe

Or dont make them skills at all, and just make the critical hit % based right off of the weapon skill.
I'm pretty sure this is what JI means Deus...
so bludeon skill == bash skill
and slash == critical hit skill
and so on and so forth...
I like that idea personally..
Critical strikes are cool.
Another Idea for you though, JI, is critical misses.
so you've got your skill, and say you have a 10% chance to have a bash/critical hit, etc (I know it wont be just % chances, it'll be based off of your skill, but I'm not even going to guess at the algorithm you decide on)
anyway, so you've got a 10% chance to do... lets say double damage, just for example.
well add critical misses, make critical miss like...
the more skill you have the less likely a critical miss is...
critical miss could do any of the following, or combination of the following, or maybe make it do a random selection from the following:
a) you drop your weapon.
b) you hit yourself in the leg instead, and take 1/3 the damage you would normally do to the enemy
c) you just fumble, and your recovery time for this swing is tripled.
d) something else....
I think it would add more stuff.. plus it would help balance out the adding of critical hits.
so you could make critical hits a little more common than you normally would have, and just put critical misses in too, to make it harsher.
*shrug* just an idea.

well i agree with new falling damage that bash is too strong.
my bash does about 800 damage, then the hills do ANOTHER 1200 or so.

I said it before, I'll say it again...
A long while ago, I suggested this.
I think it went:
"Hey guys, instead of bashing backstabbing etc, why don't we have 4 special skill thingies for classes, such as SwdTech, BludTech, PrcTech, ArchTech. When this skill increases for the appropriate class, then new skills could be learned, as well as power it up along with that skill type."
Whaddya say, take out backstabbing, bashing, and anything that falls under these categories, andcompile them into one?
As for skill names, hard task at hand, but let's backtrack a bit and look. Such as Cleave as someone mentioned.

4 different weapons is bad enough....
4 weapons styles too.. that would be harsh..
then again...
you could have some crazy weapons that were slash and bludgeon at the same tine, or something... really high level weapon with high reqs, thats just insane...

About ironsmight: I noticed the atk changed. At first it was 153 atk, then it jumped to 220 for a while, now its down to 153 again, whats with that?
