In order for us to create HUDs that work with item information in TRGP, we sometimes have to hard code *alot* of the data straight from you cs files. Are you planning on making the less critical information easily retrievable? Most of the time, if I want information about an item (in a script) I have to either have the person carrying the item on them or hard code the data (weapon speeds and such come to mind).

Unless I overlooked something the way the old one worked.

Huh?

A lot of the weapon data is found in scripts.vol

Nothing is encrypted or passworded in TRPG..

Could you rephrase your question? I'm a bit confused.

in T2 rpg JI is making it so that Administrators can make items almost instantaniously.. this is a great idea! but if you want the information on ALL of the items... it probably wont happen.. due to this fact.

JI said that he has been working on the inventory system for it, so what you want to do shouldnt be necessary.

I hope I understood you, otherwise i have no idea what to say.

t2 has capabilities for compiled code.
so some of it or all of it will not be in an extractable vol., in the final release anyway. i dont know if JI will be using this or keeping it open for the people to play with.

Yes, T2 can and does use compiled data (scripts). Well, I'll wait for the Beta and suggest/praise then. After all, T2RPG is the only reason I bought Tribes 2!
