Whoa guys drifting off topic. Al didnt ask for moderater. Post suggestions not resume's. I say you archive the privite forum and not allow us to post there. When it is needed you open it again. then split the general disscussion. That way not any flamer can disrupt the very serious posts here. It also allows people to look on them as reference.

Mhhh... Maybe if you did somthing like... Give a moderator an amount of time he has to be on... And if he gets more than.. 10 complaints maybe? He will lose his spot.. But if he doesn't get complaints and meets the time limit he gets bonuses such as editing post numbers for someone... Somthing like that would be cool...

EDIT: But the complaints would have to be legit... Just not that "He deleted my thread" but more like if he edits the thread and puts bad stuff or somthing like that in.

I like the idea

Give them one warning if they post crap on the "RPG forums"
and then ban them from the RPG forums so they only can post on the Public Discussion forums, etc...

Granted I'm jumping on this this post a little too late but here is my opionion: (Going along with Silver on this one) keep the private forum as is, but split the public into two forums, the "open" one and the "on-topic" one. Also add more moderators to the public forums. Ones that have proven themselfs to be reliable, non-flaming (damn I'm out), and obviously be able to post here. Also I think that maybe a newbie formum should be available. (There's a forum for toaster to mod LOL). This way we can keep the simple questions away from most of the normal traffic, and keep newbie bashing down to a min. Just my thoughts... later.

We all have our own little sayings about newbies: "Get back in the Box! Stupid Newbies!" "To many newbies in this world!" "Read The Newbie Guide!", but thats not my point. Basically, I like Alarics idea but, dont have a general forum, that is only encouraging flames, just make the public the main, and the private for beta testing and such, and flamers on the public will be dealt with switfly.
