 Question

I've downloaded the base and two updates, and there is nothing to unzip with the adds- all files are unrecognizable except for two exes- both are music in nature- did I download wrong or what and can I not play without the updates?

 then.

You must not have winzip.exe you need that file to extract the .zip files. that is why you are getting unrecoginsable files. go get winzip there are plenty of places to download it for free.
