Today, with luck, the server will receive a couple of new files. You guys do not need to download any of them. But this is what is changing
New PK system
Log in window
A new monster!

New Pk system:
This is a pk system that will not allow any player to pk anyone that is not within 10 lvl's of them unless both players are in different houses.
This includs MIMIC!
Bots are not affected by the script so a lvl 100 can kill runts still. and the runts can hurt a lvl 100 (if they can hit him)
and yes as lvl 1 you can fight ubers.
this system again does not affect bots or players fighting bots only players fighting players.

Log in window:
The log in window is just like a tab menu. Instead of instantly spawning into the game this tab window will pop up instead. Notice this window is in beta! any problems with it report to me.
It should work with every character. The windows purpose is to let the client catch up to the server before spawning you infront of a uber. This will prevent 'log on death' also it should fix some span lag.

New monster:
This is the same type of monster as an uber exept one thing, It has no friction! The new uberball has arrived! woot! Also the ball will let us play soccer, golf, etc. =P

Post any comments below on what is above. If you have any questions I will answer them. This should fix the pk problem permently.

NOTICE!
The player models for the bots are not loading correctly nor the sounds arnt loading correctly. This does not affect the gameplay.

actualy all you can do right now is trapping, kicking, and shooting.
you trap by touching the ball

dribble with #shove

kick\shoot with #bash.

few problems...

can you fix the log in screen so it's not facing k-town? the ppl with lower end comps get horrid fps...

what if 2 ppl want to duel and their level difference is greater than 10?

what if somebody wants to get to train on another player?

You can pk people around your lvl. and you can still scare newbies by putting them on your target list. Just that you cant kill em.

Aight don't take this personally anyone please. This is a long chat on the new pk thingy.

1) What do you do other than to PK in mimic?

2) Why do you use dust after level 101?

3) So now we just fight easy bots and level?

4) Great so now I can't gaurd my level 1 char from stupid level 10 people.

5) Now I get to have level 2s flaming me and now I can't do nuthin about it.

I've been asking myself these three questions. And don't worry. I'm not saying this because I haven't been pkd before. I have. But what is the fun of killing 500 ubers without any pk competition? I mean jeaz everyone will just ine and level mine and level. No more fun..



Just so this post doesn't seem like a complete trashing I think the other two things sound awesome! can't wait to wack some ubers in the head with my golf stick. :P Great job trident Sept for the pk thing. Stupid newbies allways must whine. Oh well. I pk without killing people.

Simply because you dont see something, doesnt mean it doesnt exist. Ie, the loch ness monster, ufos, ect.

bladerunner your just whining cuz you want too... and seeing things your way and not thinkin about everyone elses... i havnt pked for the fun of it ever even if a nagging lvl 2 was flaming.. ive only pked cuz i had to... you just dont see the other end of the side of things..

1) you mimic scare ppl or just run around in a cool costume...
2)you use dust to gain higher lvl's doy! what you do with the "extra" sp and MINING abilities there is up to you
3)you can still kill ubers at lvl 1 dumby.. well thats if you can..
4) pking like you have pointed out over and over is fair game
5) heh flaming you prolly have a good reason... ever heard of mute DOH...

i do not care what you think trident made this and it is a good call... until newbie gets back or binker gets on it will most likley stay this way until you guys get supervised by those 2 heck they might even keep it... to many ppl getting pissed off at to many things that can be prevented.. seems the ppl in server just cant let everyone have fun unsupervised and youve proven it more than 5000+ times since newbie moved...

basicly this is in because people coudn't handle themselves. Even Newbie was getting sick of the pking. Binker just said he wanted to do a #clearchar here and a ban there. Wonder why? DUH! If a lvl 10 wants to pk you well thats ok because it is easier to run away from him than a lvl 130 super dood. if you are lvl 120 you can probably fight back against a 130. if you cant just remort and he cant hurt you.

If you want to pk freely just JOIN A HOUSE. Then you may freely pk people that are in a different house. This PK system can change. maybe the range will get broader each remort lvl. But the range will be dependant on the lowest remort.

example

0 remort bill
10 remort DM

the range of lvls for pking is only 10 here because the lowest remort is 0

10 remort bill
20 remort DM

the range of lvls for pking here is 11 because the lowest remort is remort 10.

I am considering changeing it into a similar system like that if you can handle yourself with the current one.

.... Alot of you guys kept whining like little children about being killed by a superior person. I got sick of it and I changed the system. If you and your friend want to pk each other join seperate houses, then it wont matter what lvl you are. If you want to pk people JOIN A STUPID HOUSE! Thats what they are for! Pk house members to your hearts desire. If you and your target are in seperate houses it is free ground and the pk system doesnt kick it. And there is usually someone around you lvl on the server anyway if you get the urge kill them instead, even though you may loose.
